Background
I've worked as a software engineer for more than 15 years, mostly on backend services, enterprise integrations and databases in .NET and C#. That includes financial-services systems that handle more than $10M in payments a day.
Recent work
Lately I've been building AI applications and the tooling around them. For one client I built an assistant in Microsoft Teams, using Azure OpenAI and Semantic Kernel, that gathers material for customer briefs. The team reported the task going from about three hours to fifteen minutes or less. Case study

How I work
Models can suggest, but ordinary code decides what gets accepted. I keep records of what failed so it can be looked into later, and I check whether a simpler approach would do before adding parts.
Location
Vancouver, WA / Portland Metro. Open to software engineering roles in the US, especially work on AI applications and agents.
